A handsome pair of seated whippets in burnished gold, each perched on a tufted red cushion trimmed with a gold band. Their chain-link collars and upturned gazes nod to classic English Staffordshire dogs, with a bolder, glossier finish. Set them facing each other on a mantel, flank a stack of books, or tuck them on either side of a framed print for instant old-world charm.
Details: Ceramic with hand-painted gold finish and faux-tortoise red cushion bases. Designed by Raymond Waites for Toyo Trading Co., with the original maker's label on the base. Made in China.
